When a sick child and family are facing healthcare-related expenses that insurance or other available resources do not fully cover, a hospital social worker or care team member can help connect them with CiDrep SickKids Foundation.

Help families reach another source of support.
Hospital social workers are often the first to see the financial pressure that can build around a child's care. CiDrep SickKids works with eligible families when insurance and other financial resources have been exhausted or do not cover an eligible healthcare-related need.
A referral helps us understand the family's situation and determine the appropriate next step. Referral does not guarantee funding; assistance remains subject to eligibility, documentation requirements, and available Foundation resources.

CiDrep SickKids reviews the referral against current funding criteria, the type of need, and available resources.
Next-step coordination
If the family appears eligible, we will provide instructions for any application materials or supporting documentation needed to continue the request.
