Our mission

Two missions. One purpose: healthier children.

CiDrep SickKids bridges gaps in care today while building evidence for safer, earlier and more equitable pediatric care tomorrow.

Mission 01

Family Support

We provide funds to families of sick children when insurance and other financial resources have been exhausted or are unavailable, helping with eligible surgery, therapy, medication, equipment, housing, transportation, travel and lodging related to care.

Mission 02

Research

We conduct equity-first computational pediatric health research designed to expand the evidence base for safer, more equitable care and to help identify children who may benefit from earlier support.

Mission statement

Bridge the gaps that keep children from getting the care they need.

The Foundation funds sick children when insurance and other financial resources have been exhausted or unavailable, and conducts pediatric health research to expand the evidence base for safer, more equitable care.

Vision

Every child deserves access to care.

Our vision is a future in which every child can receive care, get well, and feel comfortable during difficult times—supported by health systems and tools designed to serve children equitably regardless of geography, race or family income.

Mission-critical cause

Reactive support. Preventive insight.

CiDrep SickKids works across both immediate family needs and longer-term research—responding when a child needs help now while advancing methods intended to improve how pediatric risk and inequity are understood.

Equity & inclusion

Equity is part of the design.

The Foundation's current philosophy emphasizes service to children from historically marginalized communities and carries that commitment into research through structured fairness review and transparent methods.
