CiDrep SickKids Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
Donor-Advised Funds (DAF) are a tax-efficient way to integrate charitable giving into your financial plan.
A modern way to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants from the fund over time. We work with some of the largest Donor-Advised Fund sponsor organizations (BNY Mellon, Fidelity Charitable, and Schwab Charitable) and their philanthropic services teams in the United States. Grants made to CiDrep SickKids through Donor-Advised Funds can be designated for:
- A tax-smart way to give to CiDrep SickKids Foundation
- Invest charitable assets for potential growth
- To support our mission now and over time
- To fund our specific program that matches your interests
- To use wherever the need is greatest.
Donor-Advised Funds create a charitable legacy that can be personalized according to your wishes without the cost and administration of a private foundation. You can name the fund after a loved one or yourself and choose CiDrep SickKids Foundation as the beneficiary. By investing your charitable gift alongside CiDrep SickKids Foundation endowments, you’ll receive excellent stewardship of your assets.
To establish a Donor Advised Fund, make a minimum commitment of $100,000 payable over four years or through your estate, name the fund and successors to continue your legacy of giving, and decide each year how much CiDrep SickKids receive from your fund.
When you establish a Donor Advised Fund, you receive a tax receipt for your initial donation as well as those in the future. If you use appreciated securities to establish your fund, you are exempt from capital gains tax.
Organizations such as BNY Mellon, Fidelity Charitable, and Schwab Charitable can make a designation through the DAF Direct window on this page (above). CiDrep SickKids Foundation USA Tax I.D. number is 82-2436300.
