The 2020 Election

M. Wayne Craige
Founder and Chairman

With the election over, we’ve can now gain clarity around the direction we’re headed, and can now moving forward ready to drive our organization's mission - to provide funds for sick kids when insurance and other financial resources have been exhausted. Regardless of what is happening in the world or in the political arena, the need that drives our mission to help sick kids across this country is great.

We are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, as we approach 2021 with renewed courage and determination to help every child receive cost-free Care and to improve the health of all children.

Feeling excited and confident...

Today, with renewed hope, I’m writing to remind us all to join together and show kindness to everyone, everyday - because after months of anxiety around the election, I can finally breathe. Our democratics values will be upheld as we continue to move forward. I haven’t felt this hopeful in a long time. So today I can’t help but feel excited, confident—even exuberant about the future of our country, all Americans and CiDrep SickKids Foundation.

I understand your grief...

I understand the grief, anger and frustration that so many are feeling having seeing twin pandemics in 2020 - COVID-19 and Racial Inequality . But my grief and frustration motivates me to do more. Will you join me to provide funds to those from historically marginalized individuals — female and male kids with disabilities, kids of color, kids of caucasian, families with kids who were formerly incarcerated, families who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or gender non-conforming, first and second-generation immigrants, and kids from low-income families.

You joined and supports our organization because you believe in our mission, and because we believed in equality and justice for all. We remain committed to this and will continue to work until every sick child is treated with the equity and equality they deserve. From me to you cheers! MWC
