Dr. Michael W. Craige founded the foundation with a specific mission - to help all sick children get well and comfortable during difficult times. He is a research scientist trained at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. His post-doctorate and current research work focuses on elucidating genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic mechanisms of disease progression and response.
Dr. Craige holds a PhD in Biomedical Informatics (Computational Biology and Health Informatics), a MHA (Masters in Health Services Administration) from DeVry University, and his MBA (Master in Business Administration) from Georgia Institute of Technology.
His past employment includes the CEO at CiDrep Informatics (USA/Canada), a researcher at Emory University and Consultants at IBM, Accenture and Cerner Corporation. His role is to set the vision to inspire the organization to achieve its goals, mission clarity, steer the strategy, and ensure sufficient resources are available for all children. "Every Child shall enjoy the highest attainable standard of health and access to the treatment of illness and rehabilitation of health."
